Kylian Mbappé has broken his silence following an intense 24 hours surrounding his knee situation. After his entourage confirmed he was seeking a second medical opinion in France and Real Madrid released an official statement detailing his injury, the forward responded on social media. He shared a photo from the gym alongside two club physiotherapists, writing: “It’s all about hard work.”
The French striker remains committed to a conservative recovery plan and will only return when he feels fully fit. After nearly three months of recurring discomfort that has affected both his rhythm and performances, Mbappé has decided not to rush the process. There is currently no fixed return date.
He is working closely with trusted physiotherapist Sebastian Devillaz, as well as Guillermo Zurdo, focusing on rehabilitation rather than surgical intervention. A consultation with a knee specialist in France confirmed that surgery is not required and that conservative treatment is the appropriate course of action.
The only certainty at this stage is that Mbappé will miss the upcoming La Liga clash against Celta Vigo and the Champions League first leg against Manchester City at the Bernabéu. So far, he has already been absent for two matches, against Benfica and Getafe.
The objective is to have him available for the return leg against Pep Guardiola’s side on March 17, but the player is determined not to take unnecessary risks as he works toward a full recovery.
