Real Madrid-Valladolid on April 2 will have an unexpected novelty: the grass. The fourth so far this season. The club has decided to take advantage of this international break to remove the grass. This Thursday the procedures began. The last tapestry has lasted just five weeks and has only hosted five games: it premiered against Elche on February 15 and in addition to that match it was used in the Cup Clasico, the second round of the Champions League against Liverpool, and the Derbi and the clash against Espanyol in the League.
The modification works of the white coliseum have been largely the reason that the club is having headaches with the grass. They do not help the grass's health because it must endure being covered more than it should, and they also cause large amounts of dust and construction debris, which hinders its proper preservation. In the final home game against Liverpool, many workers could already be seen attempting to repair damaged portions of the green during the break.
The club hopes that this fourth time will be the lucky one and bring charm to the team, which is needed hardly for the crucial game against Chelsea and hopefully more than that game.
