La Liga introduced a number of new television-related features this season in an effort to bring the players, who are the main characters of the game, closer to the audience. Among these new measures, which will bring notable financial benefits to the First Division teams, is allowing a camera to enter into the teams' locker rooms to show the latest updates before the match. All the clubs have accepted these new changes, with the exception of Real Madrid, who strongly rejected.
At Real Madrid they consider that the locker room is "sacred" and, therefore, no cameras should enter. According to Tomás González-Martín, the merengue board considers that what is broadcast in this sense has a good percentage of "overacting and exaggeration."
The coaching staff also indicates that moments of great concentration are sought within the locker room, and they think that the incursion of television can cause the squad to lose concentration. The players are calmer if there are no cameras. So, for all these reasons, Los Blancos have refused to accept the new LaLiga changes.
It's a new episode of the war between Real Madrid and La Liga, which is already submitted into the court as it was published recently.
